Weeks 0-2: Vs. Indiana

While 2004 had a week 0 game with USC visiting Virginia Tech, NCAA 05 lists it as week 1 and subsequent weeks are moved up a number. EA seems to agree that USC won the 2003 natty and they have a lot more coverage than LSU at least on my dynasty save. I simulated through their week 0 game and they beat Virginia Tech 24-17. Both of their defenses played really well. As for Oregon, we had a bye on week 1 and we had to suspend two of our players for a game. Michael DeLaGrange didn't show up to practice and Terrell Jackson had bad grades. You can find the names from this GameFAQs roster and I'll refer to the players by names whenever possible.

Game time comes and we immediately pick off Matt LoVecchio. We then get the touchdown to open the score. I confidently changed the difficulty to Heisman thinking only the AI would be harder. Sure I gave up a 75 yard touchdown pass, but the part that really stunk is that kicking was way harder. You have to click 3 times fast to even land a field goal. It went wide left so I changed the difficulty back to varsity. All was good with a 21-14 victory. I forgot to mention that NCAA 05 introduced celebrations. If you press a certain button combo, you can either have a light or heavy celly with your players, mascot and cheerleaders, or a custom fan sign.

Mega Man is dropping January 7!

Meanwhile, #4 ranked Georgia took on South Carolina and won 29-24 in a national TV game. This game has both regional and national TV games and your team will gather more attention and prestige by winning both kinds of games. Just don't get upset or else the coaches and AP will hate you.
