Not sure what exactly that dd-wrt thing checks but depending on the programs you have opened it could be normal.
Just open up wireshark and start a short scan, you will notice thousands of connections depending on what you are doing on your computer ... even if you don't do anything at all you get lots of broadcast meassages, but then again not sure what kind of connections this programm measures.
well it is still possible that you have some virus or malware communicating ... just saying that this isn't completely weird doesn't mean that there is nothing wrong in there ...
if you are worried best would be to check with WireShark or whatever Programm you like best
You are the MediCat guy right ? so you probably should be able to use it withouth to much confusion
I have a router dedicated solely to my Nintendo DS legacy WEP connection that only ever connects to the console and nothing else and is connected via wire to my PC and nothing else. It is also running DD-WRT.
It is enough for me to open the browser window on the PC and connect to the router's config page that the number of connections already jumps to 120+. Refreshing the page makes it worse. When I click to list connections they are all from my PC and no other IP(router doesn't query and external dynamic DNS server or time server for clock). I'd call that very normal. Back when this router was my main router, 1000+ connections was commonplace.
