I'm gonna start this off by saying that I've never particularly been a fan of the Zelda games, Wind Waker being the only one I've thoroughly enjoyed and played through. I've still yet to beat BotW but after about 20 hours of playing through it and beating 3/4 of the divine beasts, I really don't think I could give this game more than a 7/10.
Of course I can see why people adore and love this game, but the majority of it seems like a few good bits of story mixed in with insane amounts of busywork and grinding for shrines and better armour/weapons, which isn't always a bad thing if done right. The game in general just didn't jive with me.
Maybe this whole incohesive post is pointless and I'm just getting sick of open world games, but maybe you guys can change my mind.
