I love my brother

So I have SXOS running on my switch, and before I ever booted it up, I made sure the OFW was in Airplane mode, so I wouldn't get banned. Well, it just so happened that my little brother took my switch, still in SXOS, and went online and played fortnite. So i wake the next morning to a banned switch, which doesn't bother me too much, as it seems to only be from online gaming. Downloading and eshop still work. I specifically told him that if he wanted 2 play online to get me and i could reboot it into normal OS with no logs (CTCer mod for hekate has a "clear logs" boot option), so that I wouldn't get banned. Oh well.

would have gotten banned sooner or later anyways nintendo isn't going easy on people this time

I thought a ban meant no access to the eShop.

Are you sure you weren't banned from Fortnite's servers specifically?

It seems there are different kinds of bans. Some people reported that they still can access the eShop.

Did you tried something diffrent to play online?
As I understand this:
  1. You put Switch in SX OS Mode
  2. You went online to play fortnite with SX OS
  3. You got banned only in Fortnite
  4. You can still access e-shop etc.
You really sure that you are banned? What error Code occured?
Did you played other games wit SX OS? What games? How long?

There are dif bans. You can still dl and update games and access friend lists, a fella posted on this forum his ban. They think online is a good idea for a ban, i am for it too, I like it

I think that would be a new and not bad ban rule from nintendo.

They don't allow you to play online - but they allow you to spend money at the e-shop.
It would be win win for "Pirates" and Nintendo.

I guess they wouldn't want to also miss out on DLC sales for the already pirated games.

This is also ur own fault: you should delete ur internet connections at 1st place to avoid ban, don't expect ur younger bro to have any acknowledge about CFW...
