You know that one shitty DRM service which launches on top of your Steam game and eats even more resources than for example your game? Well guess what, it's fucking everywhere and it's annoying.
Not only it has this annoying online DRM stuff which only asks for it to be pirated just for the sake of removing this damn "feature" by this piece of shit DRM but also it claims to make your game uncrackable and less resource heavy.
Recently dev used denuvo but upon huge community press he removed it. Why? Players noticed higher resource usage with that DRM service. Game itself uses for ex. 40% CPU and 30% of your RAM and with Denuvo it's literally multiplied. Atleast according to them. Game without Denuvo ran perfectly. No framedrops, no stuttering, nothing.
[Also it got cracked in one week after releasing]
Not only it makes people lose their living shit and their time spend on researching what is the cause of game running like a PS4 port of No Man's Sky, but they also regret spending money on it. You can't ruin your game more by putting THIS DAMN DRM. Jesus, develop something better instead which isn't a pain in the ass to deal with.
Yes, i'm clearly triggered by this. Most devs got rid of it but someone {points at Sega} still thinks it's good to shove it into their new titles. Not only this disallows players to play offline incase if they have a laptop and they brought to their cousin for example so they can Co-op, well guess what, you can't.
Even people who bought games legitimely used cracks to disable this shitty protection. I'm done rambling, See ya in next blog post.
Oh and also: I have nothing against No Man's Sky. You guys should check this game again because it recently got a big update which introduced story mode and is a very enjoyable game! Still not worth 60 euros but hey, Hello Games is still actively updating and fixing stuff!
EDIT: https://whyisdenuvobad.github.io/ Here's why you shouldn't support it
