So I went to the newly-built Westfield shopping centre in Shepherd's Bush and I say it's a really good place (although Lacoste have really expensive clothing, if you care). Anyways, my Christmas present came early today, thanks to my mum, who gave me the money and decided to let me buy the 360 now. So I added my £40 from my savings to grab the 60GB one (total of £170, she gave me £130 to buy the Arcade).
I went to HMV to take a look at the games and I found some things I never knew:
1) They actually HAVE Wii Fit in stock.
2) Full Band box - Rock Band's is smaller than Guitar Hero's.
Then I went to the Xbox 360 corner and I was amazed by the prices. Luckily, there is a VAT reduction so I bought the 60GB with Lips for £166.37.Not bad, since you can only buy the console itself at that price on most stores. Plus, I heard the Lips mic will be compatible with Rock Band soon so I decided to grab it. When I got it, I never expected it to be that heavy. I had to double the package for the plastic to be able to handle its weight and to conceal its identity to gangsters who might nick it off me (like that would happen, still they have an interest with 360s).
When I came home (exhausted), I finally unboxed it and here are the details.
Motherboard: I was expecting a Jasper but I think I got a Falcon.
Manufacture Date: 8/3/2008
HDMI: Ya
Power Supply: 175W (but some people say Jasper can handle 150W and 175W Power supply)
Drive: BENQ (don't care, not gonna mod it anyway
So that's it. I am really happy and in 2 weeks, I'll get Guitar Hero World Tour (or Rock Band if there will be a game+guitar bundle type of thing) and a points card soon. Can't do Live until Monday as I have to buy an ethernet cable. I am using an ethernet hub so cable connected from router - hub and I am using the cable that came with the 360 for the PC. So gamertag is coming soon as well.
