For the YuGiOh fans...

Looks like my aunt is coming over this weekend since my mom is coming back from England... which means my little cousin is coming too. He's obsessed with all things Yugioh, so I figured I'd download some episodes for him or something. I think theres 2 different shows though... I remember there was the one with Yugi (?), but then they made a new one were there was a new main character. Which one of the two was better? Any particular season? I also downloaded Championship 2008 for him on my DS.

Right now, there are actually 4 different series...


YGO Original - Not based on the card game; has Yugi, et al

YGO Duel Monsters - (known in the US as just YGO): Yugi, et al. Based on the card game, divided into several major story arcs - The best of which are Battle City and Doom Org.

YGO GX - 10 years later, card game, No Yugi. A little uneven, not as good as above.

YGO 5D - 10 years after gx, Based on weird version of card game mixed with motocross, Avoid at all costs, it's terrible

Isnt YGO Original the one with killers and stuff? He's 8 or so, so that wouldn't be too good for him >__>;

I'll probably download him that GX one. I'm pretty sure he's watched Duel Monsters.

It's not like GX has never aired on TV before either. As far as I know through the mix of Kids WB (Back when that's what it was) and Cartoon Network it aired entirely. And if he's truly obsessed with Yu-Gi-Oh then there's probably no doubt he's familiar with 5Ds, as it's starting to get onto the actual Card Game labeling.

pfft when I was eight I was swearing, playing violent video games and watching those late night adult comedies even more than I do now!

Well Battle City was a little boring to me, but we all have different opinions right? :P GX ALL THE WAY!!
