Have to put off getting a Switch, I've let you all down

I almost never make threads on here, for a variety of reasons, most of them trivial but I digress. Yesterday I had a helluva financial-related emergency, as some know I've had to pay for dental-related bills during my period of unemployment and as a result, have a myriad of bills to pay. So yes, I'm in debt and it has cause me tremendous amounts of anxiety and stress, and for what it's worth, to start off I want to apologize to every single one of you who I know I have offended, upset, and so on, this isn't for me at all to confess, but I feel that I should do so. Now on to the main purpose of my thread, as a result of having to make payments yesterday, and then realizing how much the Switch is going to cost me, I've come to the very hard decision of putting off the Switch for a while yet; if this for any reason lets you guys down or cause you to lose what little respect you have for me, I want to apologize as well.

Believe me, I wanted to get one on launch as much as many of you did, but when I preorded it, I wasn't thinking straight and dived right in. I'm going to be using my tax refund to pay off my debt as well, and while I have a job, I have to be extremely careful on what I spend it on, notably bills. Maybe for my birthday I'll get a game or two, so special occasions like that, but for a big investment like the Switch, I'm going to have to put it off till I can free myself from the hellacious enslavement that is financial debt.

I don't know what to do anymore, I'm so overwhelmed, so very stress and anxious about my financial situation :(

Granted I still have my Wii U, and I plan on using it for some time, I may end up getting the Wii U version of Breath of the Wild in lieu of the Switch version. I still have quite a backlog as well, Virtual Console games, Super Smash Bros with my former roommates, I still have plenty of games I can play on there in the mean time.

Yikes, I don't know if I want to wait that long to get debt forgiveness, these debts have been a huge source of debt for a long time. Setting up a GoFundMe page now, I hope I don't end up regretting this.

(like thoose trailer trash\ghetto people who has always money for iphones cigars and sometimes drugs, but they have no money to feed the children or condoms)

I'm buying BoTW for wiiu and not planning to get the switch in the near future, even having no financial problems, should do that dissapoint you all?
Real life comes first, and everyone has its things, so, just do what you can when you can, regardless of what everyone thinks/wants/tells you to do.

Good luck man!!!

Don't feel bad if you're honest. It's not like you're Old Dirty Bastard coming to welfare in a limo. These are donations for your bills, just don't lie to people like that one 'crippled' Twitch streamer. He was so not crippled.

I have a feeling a lot of people aren't getting a Switch (even the people that intend to). Gotta keep the hype up via artificial scarcity, right Nintendo? You still can't just walk into a store and buy an NES Classic, after all.

i am gonna say one more thing.
maybe it's the unniverse giving you a better change so you can valuate your desision to get a switch.
loats of people regret getting the wii u when it did come out because how it turned..
now you can get it later when you are sure it's a good console and not a failure saving you 300 or whatrever is the price bucks

I am doing a "wait and see". Because I dislike "full size consoles" and the marketing for the Switch. (Gamers are idiots who need a fix of their addiction even when doing things like walking the dog!"

I like Breath of the Wild, but having skipped over a few titles for the Zelda series, I can do that for this release...

When it comes to real financial issues one just cannot ignore them and pretend they'll go away. It's not really an issue that you won't get a Switch at launch and no one will disrespect you for it, everyone has their priorities.

Financial issues suck, but as someone who is currently unemployed and flipping stuff for money, I rather spend the money on flipping stuff on "fun" stuff. Alas, being an adult sucks.

@the_randomize Let me tell you, you have let me down somewhat!!! I bought one, only of the back of knowing you where having one! m8 you could of let me known a bit earlier then I could of canceled my order as well! :P

On a more serious sad note or maybe a better note for you! I'm sorry to here about your debt issues, it can be very life changing and extremely worrying times, do not worry though we have all been there and many younger members here will experience that feeling one day.

I would suggest waiting and not buying on launch anyways. It will have almost no worthwhile games imo.

But good luck ahead
