Pokemon Sun & Moon Ending : Damn it, Lillie !! (Spoiler inside !)

Why did she leave in the end ? She's probably the ONLY female character in a Pokemon game that I cared for. She also obviously has some romance going on with the main character. But she suddenly left without having any closure whatsoever. Why did Game Freak develop such a character, gave her majority of the story, and then just threw her away ?

I'm gonna be so pissed at Game Freak if we won't have another major story section with her in the upcoming Pokemon Star, when we'll at least have some closure.
What about your thoughts ?

Those characters are so secondary I don't even remember them.
Having romance between the main character and someone with also a lot of spotlight is hardly imaginable in a franchise like Pokémon.

It's still called romance.
Romance is better between two person that doesn't share the same hobbies.
Also Pokemon XY the firework scene and shuna,yes that is romance scene.
and if you are talking about Pokemon as franchise,let's not forget the anime,hint:last episode of XYZ.

Nope, They are dark... Yes, but not as dark as sun and moon`s dex.

And the event in which a woman says his husband died in an accident she hated the dude who accidentaly killed her husband, and that the husband`s Machamp survived thanks to the husband, but now the machamp hates being on its ball, etc.
YEAH DUDE POKEMON IS STILL THE SAME.
I am aware of how shady pokemon was, but it never was this dark

She goes on a journey in Kanto, I'd really like a Kanto based sequel in which Lillie is the champion that would be cool wouldn't it.
They can even add travel to johto and then to sinnoh if anyone remembers sinjoh ruins from hgss.
