Yeah. im gunna update my 5.3.2 WiiU.....

was gunna try to install Homebrew channel, but from what i can tell you can use game exploits at 5.5.1 anyway.

Also it seems its not permanent, you have to restart the exploit every single time you start the WiiU,

Also there the extra time to load the WiiU, select Tv out options, wait, then vWii. when i could just boot the original Wii for homebrew.

im sure someone will hack a full featured WiiU softmod eventually. no point in hanging at the firmware.

Good one! I nearly fell for it.

None would ever update an exploitable firmware version knowing it's exploitable.

Tell me something you can do with your updated 5.5.1 wiiu that I can't with my exploitable wiiu that's spoofed?

Why in the world would you update?

Alright man, whatever. It's not like you're talking about jumping off a building.

Eh. I would update too. Loadiine is pretty shit and nobody is going to release the IOSU exploit ever (assuming it actually exists) so whats the god damn point anymore. Plus theres literally no worth while homebrew anyway (sorry to the few devs that made a couple small games but lets be real here).

tl;dr The Wii U homebrew scene was dead from the start because of anybody working on anything worth while not releasing jack shit for anyone to work with or just claiming they have things that they prpbably do not.

Oh my God! Not you too! Go update your wiiu, seriously update it all update as much to your heart's content. Why the hell would anyone care what you do or think? Some of you guys have this weird mentality that you can brute people into releasing stuff.

Yeah I wish these entitled pirates would quit bitching and just make their own exploit already.

Patience, we are not entitled to everything.

Well to be fair, he HAS a point regarding most of the homebrew people where asking/waiting for in regards of emulation and Minigames/Servers/etc allready being out for vWii and working there just as well.
I still wouldnt update because i'm in love with TCPGecko but i can see the appeal fading for people who aren't interested in that. If it is to much work for to little payoff to spoof and set everything up that's totally up to him and a respectable decission. And between the "I am gonna buy a 5.3", "I want my sploits" and "come join my hykemism" topics here, THIS ONE is the one that deserves hate because he tries to make some people reconsider?
Also are you guys seriously shitting on piracy from him for telling you loadiine and the actual homebrew NOT being worth it and basically saying "go and do things legit, again!" Don't you see any discrepancy here?

i bet hykem got bankrupt because he had a vidya gaem industry and all the gaemz got pirated instead of bought.

srsly, don't update your wii u

@mgrev why? brass tax whats the real benefit of staying at 5.3.2? im sure someone will create an exploit for 5.5.2 eventually. also its not like im going to go through the web browser method everytime just to play some homebrew.

sorry i wasn't updated on wii u hax for a moment. i just read the last 2 pages of the 5.5.1 loadiine thread, so i'd say its ok to do it now :P

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

Waiting for Anbernic's rg[whatever]SP price announcement, gimme.

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
