the memchunkhax2 hype post with .3dsx

there is more going on in the comments that this post is somewhat outdated now.
read this. it's important.
  • you cannot use this for downgrading, installing .CIAs, etc. yet. it is purely for testing.
  • when you post results, include your model, entry point, and full firmware version (e.g. 10.3.0-28E).
  • this has pretty much no risk of bricking as it doesn't write to the NAND or anything. with that in mind I am not responsible if anything weird happens so run this at your own risk.
  • if you get a test value of DEADCAFE then it has worked.
  • this might help with getting "DEADCAFE":

Oh, and anyone thinking of doing this, I recommend backing up your SD while you wait for downloads or whatever. Mine is taking quite a long time, though smaller SD cards will take less time obviously. You'll need to do it during the CFW install process so doing it now will speed stuff up a bit

I have a hardmod on this 3DS so no biggie if it bricks. My normal O3DS is never used anyways so if that gets bricked i wouldn't care.

Well then.. I suppose I'll try it. O3DS XL has been useless and if this fails it'll just remain in that state for good so... Heaven or Hell, let's rock!

If my downgrade works i'll make a tutorial. probably in video if my O3DS doesn't brick while recording. but the O3DS seems pretty stable now.

And I'm still trying to get FBI to work again. DOes anyone know if there are working links for the legit US CIAs? All I found was Fire Emblem, Animal Crossing, and Luigi's mansion: Dark Moon.

Before anyone decides to downgrade without a hardmod, make sure to have a read through everything here to see what firmware etc people were using when they successfully downgraded. I think everyone that succeeded was on 10.3 but I may be wrong

@ihaveamac Could you maybe make a tutorial anyways? I have a hardmod so I can restore if needed. Just wanna make sure I am doing things right so I dont have to redo multiple times.

Should I update to 10.3 on my N3DS since everyone is having better luck with it. I am on 9.5. US model of course.
