the memchunkhax2 hype post with .3dsx

there is more going on in the comments that this post is somewhat outdated now.
read this. it's important.
  • you cannot use this for downgrading, installing .CIAs, etc. yet. it is purely for testing.
  • when you post results, include your model, entry point, and full firmware version (e.g. 10.3.0-28E).
  • this has pretty much no risk of bricking as it doesn't write to the NAND or anything. with that in mind I am not responsible if anything weird happens so run this at your own risk.
  • if you get a test value of DEADCAFE then it has worked.
  • this might help with getting "DEADCAFE":

Yeah, it's almost identical to the version we were already using. I believe there are instructions somewhere in this thread

Edit: I'd give you instructions myself but I don't want to get anything slightly wrong and end up causing you to brick your 3DS

You put the 9.2 cia files in the sdcard/updates folder and then boot sysupdater through the homebrew launcher.

You download the update from a 3ds iso site. I cant tell you the name because of gbatemp rules though. You should be able to find it from what I have said alone.

I think I am too on my O3DS. my O3DS xl has a hardmod so I will start there though.

The update files can be downloaded from a certain 3DS iso site. On that site there is a CIA updates subforum. The post title is "[MEGA] [CIA/BIN] MSET 4.X & 6.X backups, Browser backups, Update packs (All Regions)". Make sure you download the right files for your 3DS. You want the full update and just extract the zip to the root of your SD

I'd still suggest waiting even on Old3DS, but if you want to go do it, you're responsible if your console is bricked :D
