the memchunkhax2 hype post with .3dsx

there is more going on in the comments that this post is somewhat outdated now.
read this. it's important.
  • you cannot use this for downgrading, installing .CIAs, etc. yet. it is purely for testing.
  • when you post results, include your model, entry point, and full firmware version (e.g. 10.3.0-28E).
  • this has pretty much no risk of bricking as it doesn't write to the NAND or anything. with that in mind I am not responsible if anything weird happens so run this at your own risk.
  • if you get a test value of DEADCAFE then it has worked.
  • this might help with getting "DEADCAFE":

mac, you should add a time stamp so people know when was the last update :) Or changelog I guess?

Executed it on my 10.3.0-28E N3DS with menuhax, got DEADCAFE following the FTP-3DS method. Strange thing happened, I kept pressed the START button after the program did it work and the console got stuck. Got to force-shutdown my N3DS with the power button, nothing seems corrupted (the console boots and so menuhax).

Got DEADCAFE first try and of course red screen exit crash.

Get DEADCAFE about half the time using menuhax and occasionally using ironhax.

Cubic ninja is working as well.

Why is it that can't get my 10.1 N3DS to say DEADCAFE?! This is starting to annoy me!

10.1 o3DS using the latest menuhax
booting memchunkhax2 without opening any other app results in DEADCAFE and the console is stuck on "Press START" to exit and needs a force-shutdown.
booting memchunkhax2 after opening and closing FTP-3DS with L+R+Down+B gets me stuck on "Map complete" and once again a force-shutdown is needed in order to turn off the console.

Technical Specifications:
  • o3DS - 9.9.0-26E
  • Menuhax v2.1 -> *hax 2.5
  • Mashers' grid launcher
  • memchunkhax2 build based on commit 6f36522
Output:
  • Test value: DEADCAFE
  • It crashes before or after I press START, forcing me to switch it off.
  • When it does crash after START, top screen shows what seems to be a lot of garbage (I think it's the grid launcher trying to load).
  • This build seems to work without needing to load another app.
