You do have friends here, you just forgot where to find them. As for the Kirby there are plenty of way's on here that you can offer, perhaps a fair trade. I'm sure someone would trade a game for yours. The hinge problem just flat out sucks, my X button has been giving me issues as well

I conversed with the seller on the game and I think I am going to open and test it out. It seems likely that it was a factory miswrap/damage.
It is true, I am unsure of how to use the find friends feature!
As for the x button, I have the same issue on my DS Lite, though it is the Y button and I think the rubber pad underneath needs to be exchanged. Probably with yours, I'd have to say due to age it might be misaligned if not torn.
Sadly I do not think the 3DS opens as nicely as the DS lite does. Though yet I have to open and fix mine. Need to order parts (Touch screen top, rubber pads, and jusge whatever the green line is.........first got to figure out how to photograph it or something. I mean, can the touch screen make a green line which only appears on black screens?).

It is okay. I had to research on the topic to figure out the details.
For your button issue, perhaps try to rotate the X or push up on it a bit gently. It might realign and help with the responsiveness.

Update, KSSU was damaged when opened and had signs of worn contact (or corrosion, either way green board was visible and gameplay had sound issue at some points). So I returned it and got a new copy. Have yet to test it out, but is legit looking and wrapping is normal.
