Pokemon Red & Green Japanese Unboxing Video

So after completing my collection of English-language Pokemon games, I decided to make a start on the Japanese editions. I figure I'll start with the originals so snagged a great deal on both Red and Green on eBay a couple of weeks ago.

After a painful wait due to my impatience, they finally arrived! They're great pieces of Pokemon history, and I managed to get them in great condition too so I figured I'd do an unboxing video. Run through what's in the boxes, check out all the pieces and play through a bit of Green as well to look at the differences.

And I thought, why not share with my fellow Tempers? Enjoy guys - hopefully I'll do some more when Blue arrives and my collection gets more complete.

Enjoy! And please post comments to let me know what you think. :)

I'd do anything to get my hands on those.
Great video!

EDIT: Out of curiosity, how much did those cost you?

Thanks man. My Japanese Blue shipped a couple of days ago and should be with me any day now. :)

As far as I recall, I think I got the Red for $15 and the Green for $20. The Red was from eBay, and the Green was from Play-Asia.com (hence the higher price).

The Green was in much nicer condition though, so I think it paid to pay a little more from a pro retailer. :)

I got Green. :)
Most likely not bothering with Blue.

Your blog post inspired me to get Pokemon Yellow in Japanese, haha. Exciting!

I had found Yellow in Japanese pre-owned on Play-Asia for like 20 bucks.
Came with the box + all the papers, + the cart was in great condition.

Should've bought the used Japanese Silver there was on there instead, since I ended up reselling Yellow to a friend instead.
I dislike Yellow now.
