reasons why i play video games...

i play them to play them and for the story mostly since it is the story that has a major role in most games.sure graphics are cool, but when it comes to a game i like story mode for many reasons because you can learn about the game and get a better idea about what the game is based on.kk i like to play online at times, but it does get boring to play online since you see the same drama and other things.i spend almost 13+ hours a day on a video game once i am hooked on it because it is a game i can get into and enjoy!!! >:3

I also play games for the story. If there's a game on a system that I don't have, I just watch a "let's play" of it on Youtube and have someone else do the work for me.

well depending on what type of gamer you are competition is not that bad as long as you have great sportsman ship and you respect the other player as an opponent, but there are the times when you will have to be nasty if the other player is nasty.so i can relate to the competition part since i used to be in many competitive fights and even i had to be cruel, but in the end it is just a game.

if a game has something i could like, i would play it.
be it story, gameplay, enjoyment, the community.

I usually play games to relax and have a mindless challenge, or the story or just because they are challenging and cool.

I really dislike online modes, because people tend to be asshats in person.

I think most people are different in-person than they are online.
Anyway, I think a good story makes the game memorable, but let's not forget that graphics and music have a large impact on the presentation of the story, which is important as well. There are also games like Heavy Rain that blur the lines between gameply and storytelling, but that's something else entirely.
