This post is intended to be satirical. If you take anything in this post as serious, you are a flipping moron. If I offended you, good. Because it most likely won't be the last time.
After running across many, many, many usernames on forums, and other large communities, I thought I would do a short rant...So this is what I think of your username.
1. Named after a Pokemon: (Ex: Mewtwo, Magikarpluvr, Mrmimespenis) Yeah, I get it, you really love Pokemon, but later on down the road, you'll get sick of the series and you'll be looking at your username with as much contempt as everyone else does. Your username has the effect of attracting like-usernamed people as friends, but you will also be plagued with the fact that no one will ever take you seriously. Well, except for Pokemon related discussions, of course.
2. The GrimDark username: This one has been around for quite a while. Usually you will find a pure GrimDark username (ex. Sanguinedarkness, Midnightblood, cutmywristswithablademadeofpuredarkness) You want to be edgy, you want people to take you seriously, you want the entire planet to leave you alone, yet you do everything in your power to stick out like a sore thumb. You aren't fooling anyone with your username, pal. Let me guess, you hate the world and everyone in it, yet you still rely on your parents, and you tell your friends how grimdark you really are while you're getting your Clarinet out of your locker for Band. Sometimes you might find Grimdark combined with other archetypes. ( ex: DarkMew, LinkinParkPatrat, Mew1234567890)
3. The Numbers: There really isn't much to this one, since it's born out of pure laziness and lack of creativity. On rare occasions the numbers MIGHT mean something, but the explanation is usually a cover to disguise how lazy and un-creative you really are. These usually are in addition to other archetypes. You almost never see this one by itself. (ex: bob0987654321, AOLUSER1010010100101, grimdark02)
4. My First Name is my Username: Seeing as there are so many Johns on the planet, you could repopulate China, this is also one usually accompanied by other archetypes. Most commonly "Numbers". (ex: debbie26, johnsmith69, Nickelback_Nicky) This is the bottom of the barrel for laziness. You could name yourself MyChemicalBromance and still be infinitely more creative that you were with picking your username. You should be ashamed of yourself. The only reason this could ever be acceptable is if you were creating a duplicate account to avoid a ban or something. Shameful and lazy.
5. I'm with the band!: This is another one as old as the Internet itself. (ex: Cheezy_D34dm0u5, MeltBananaMadness, randomjpopband03) Like the Pokemon names, you love the band so much, that you made your Username in honor of them..But again, when this particular band is no longer relevant, and whenever you post with that username you'll always wonder..."what happened to that one band with that one song that was all DA DUM DUM DUM DA DUM!" And again, you'll look at it with contempt. No one else will share your contempt, though, because no one will know what the hell your username is in reference to in about 2 years. At least you have that...yeah.
