So for the past three days, I've been building a RetroBox™. I saw a YouTube video of some guy building one, and thought I could build one better. So I did. Has a Raspberry Pi 3 inside of course, runs Raspian 4.3, and will primarily be for playing old MAME arcade games that actually utilize a...

I did it fam.... I finally completed the final build of my Gameboy Color XXL. (And a few weeks ahead of schedule too!) I've been working on it since early June. My brother did 100% of the wood work and paint job. I did all the installation of parts, purchasing over $260+ of said parts, the...

I hate how stereo and car manufacturers don't ever work together to create a universal molex connector to make this shit simple.

Used slightly without any visible wear, basically new. The guy even gave me his copy of Zelda for free! I've decided that if I win another raffle, I'll just give the prize away. I'm giving this Switch to my girlfriend, so we can play Splatoon 2 together.

The font I used is Project Paintball, a free font. The CD has 21 tracks of Splatoon goodness to bump in my car.

I'm using a Raspberry Pi 3 with Raspian Jessie. Right now, I'm getting the software setup to do as I want, and I'll probably replace the New York Times feed with GBATemp's, but here is the progress so far:

It of course plays Gameboy and Gameboy Color, but it also does Gameboy Advance, NES, SNES, PS1, DOOM, Kodi, Nintendo DS, and I use the Sega CD as a glorified CD Player (It will read .cue and .bin audio CDs just fine). Parts List: Raspberry Pi 3 computer: $35.00 7" 1024x600 IPS HDMI LCD...

He was with me for almost 2 full years, and I'm guessing it was old age. I got him from a friend who couldn't keep him, as she was allergic to him. So she gave me a large cage and toys, food, care instructions, etc... And he's been really cool to have around. His name was Ozzy*, after the rock...

This might come as a shock to some of you, but I'm straight. Weird, I know... I've just always liked women, and I'm with a good one now. I think I knew by age 12, when I got my first boner from a penthouse magazine. So there you have it; Jayro Jones is straight. I feel so relieved I could come...

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
