Anyways, what are your thoughts on subtractive color mixing?

I hardly know what subtractive color mixing even is. People just kept asking color questions on my ama

Subtractive colour mixing is when you mix paint - paint absorbs light so when you mix different colours together lots of different wavelengths are absorbed and you see less. Additive colour mixing is when you mix light - you see more wavelengths and the result is usually lighter.

Eg for additive: the primary colours are green, red, and blue. If you mix green and red you get yellow, if you mix blue and red you get magenta (purple/red), if you mix green and blue you get cyan (light blue).

Eg for subtractive: primary colours are yellow, cyan (you might call it blue), and magenta (you might call it red). if you mix yellow and cyan paint. Yellow paint absorbs blue light, so you see green and red = yellow. Cyan paint absorbs red light, so you see green and blue = cyan. If you mix the two, together they absorb blue and red, so you see green. That's why mixing yellow and cyan (what you may call blue), gives you green. Same for other combinations.
