but those are going for 30 bucks

i need to send back my broken headphones back to koss. i have 2 pairs that lasted me 7 years.

I love ear/headphones.
I have like...6 pairs, ranging from £7-80.

Eh, it's Sweden: they overcharge on everything. Hence why we call things sweded here.
Still, they're comfortable after hours of use, and they're not as dark sounding as most Sennheiser's tend to be, so that's good!

And besides, I mostly bought them because they don't leak sound at all: this is a make or break for studio monitoring!!

I don't know if people do unless I tell them.
But we get these sort of prices because of a myriad of reasons:

• Shipping awkwardness to Sweden: Not so big demand, or it's unknown. It's hard for suppliers to know...
• High taxes for import and export: makes it more expensive for consumers to purchase
• Monopolized marketing: There's ONE single big store for all music equipment. All other stores sell shitey brand earplugs that'll last you 2 weeks.

Sennheiser's rock.

Kinda need to replace my pair.
Kinda destroyed my old pair.

My old pairs of.... everything always broke in a few weeks. And I don't even wear them out a lot, or mistreat them. Shitey brand phones (I'm staring at you, Beats by Dr. Dre...)

My Sennheiser 202s still are my best pair of headphones. Great choice, man.

Yeah, I read that the 202's deal with the high ends better than the 203's, yet the 203's have better bass. I didn't consider this, since they only had the bad 201's and a single 203.

This reminds me that I need to buy a new pair of headphones for Alessa, since I borrowed her expensive SkullCandy ear buds and when I went to remove them from my ears, they broke apart like a cheap $0.50 pair you get with random cheapo electronics.

Skull Candy is always a bad choice. if you are looking for a good pair of replacement ear buds, I have found that anything from Jlabs is an excellent choice. Great sound quality, and a price that can't be matched.

Yeah, that's what I told her. She replied that she only had to buy ear buds once a month. That's when I showed her my old pair of headphones that I've had for 13 years, but they only broke just last week and were much cheaper than her crappy Skull Candies.

I think I'm going to just buy her that $7 headphone set (ear buds, normal headphones, and that kind that hook over your ears) I saw at the dollar store. A friend of mine has had the same set for a few years now and they look pretty reliable. It'll kick out all three of us living here at the same time too. Everyone will have their own pair of headphones.
