@smileyhead eh, you know the "allegedly" the assassination of that Franz Ferdinand archduke by some freak triggered the events that plagued Europe for some years. in fact it wasn't the assassination of that guy that started the war and the conflicts among nations. that served as a scapegoat or something of a valid reason to begin the warm there were previous grudges and hate between the nations by the way

@alexander1970 yup I have photographic memory of the trial and error process of trying to get my gamecards to work on my old 3ds XL.
Nowdays I go digital and won't have to bother with damaged cartridge pins.

Hmm, what are your favourite consoles?

To be honest, I can't really decide, I like all consoles I've had so far.
Maybe the GBA SP, the PSP and the 3DS for me, but that's just because I love handheld gaming.

As for homebrew or romhack games, is there anything you think is really awesome and worth trying?
I'm currently playing Chrono Trigger Crimson Echoes (a SNES romhack) and Battle Kid 2, a homebrew platformer on NES, awesome but so freaking hard...

(Now I wonder if I should also do a blog like this someday? Maybe I'll do it.)

my favorite consoles..would have to be the switch, GameCube, 3ds, NES, GBC, PS2, PS4

as for the ROMhacks..I enjoyed Pokemon Prism and Pokemon Dark Energy (both ROM hacks of GBC Pokemon ROMs)
not fond of GBA romhacks.

Neat! I love my Gamecube too. My PS2 has died, sadly. The CD drive is no longer working and scratches my discs.

I've never played a Pokemon game so far. When everyone played it at school I tried to avoid it. I'm weird like that. I think I should give the series a chance.

Any suggestions for a good game to get started with? I have a Switch, too, but I'm not too keen on that upcoming Pokemon game. I'd like to try one of the older GBC or GBA games.

(Sorry for hijacking the blog for such a question, but I'm really just curious.)

@Upaluppa for starters, if you'd like to give Pokemon a go, try Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver or Pokemon Platinum. This is heavily biased of course, but Pokemon generation 4 is the best IMO.
