Let's just say that I had way too much time on my hands. (I'm currently looking for work and it's annoying as all get out.)
My first success with MMing was with Charmander - got him shiny in 160 eggs. I got a couple of accidental successes as well - my axew is one as well.
So I decided to try for Goomy + gooey ability. It took me 650+ eggs to get a shiny hatch in goomy. And it turned out with hydration, instead...oh well.
Second case today: was breeding stantlers for wonder trade, and was using a japanese ditto...and the fourth one in the first batch turned out shiny. (The colour doesn't show up too well on my camera, but it's...bright green...)
