hey guys, i'm running the game on ryujinx yet the cheat codes like hp does not decrease constantly give me game crashes the moment I receive damage....do you have any ideas why?

To confirm - there's no way to avoid attack visuals from not rendering when going over 30 fps with Xeno 3, correct? It's not a huge issue but it does result in battles looking a little bit different. It's more visible on some classes than others. For example, Eunie's staff AoE heal animations have no particle effects at all at 60 fps, while they do render correctly at 30 fps. Another easy test is Eunie's Ouroboros spin heal (on Y by default) - 60 fps completely disables the spin particles around the wings.

Interestingly, this also happens even when you lock Yuzu to 30 fps while the cheat is enabled.

If someone is interested, I have probably solved an issue with ether deposits crashing game on Switch hardware at > 30 FPS (this issue existed on Switch hardware too). Dunno if this will solve your issues with emu, but here you go:

You must rely on somebody else to port theboy181 60 fps mod to 2.1.1
If possible, could you explain to me how this code works? I'd like to try modifying it to work at higher framerates than 60.

If you mean Ether fix, you don't need to tweak anything. I have just edited code to use hardcoded value matching 1/30s instead of relying on game speed target.

My bad, I assume you aren't the person that originally made the patch, but just modified it afterward? But no, this is not the specific thing I was asking. The patch currently allows gameplay to run at 60fps, but what I was wondering is if this code can be modified to use higher framerates, for example 120 (I say 120 specifically as it's still a multiple of 30, as I know some games have issues using odd framerates). This way, the game can run even smoother if someone has the hardware to support it.

You cannot use this cheat for that, because game has hardcoded values referencing 60 FPS, so you cannot set internal vsync to 0 since this bugs out the game. You must look at every part of code relying on internal vsync and change it.

As expected, it sounds like a lot more trouble to make than the existing patch. Do you know of any resources I could look into that could help me figure out more on how to do this?

was there an update to one of the DLCs with this update, like there was with DLC4 in the 2.1.1 update? because I'm installing the 2.2.0 update, seeing version 2.2.0 on the titlescreen, but not getting the 2.2.0 update notes when hitting "-" on the title screen, and not seeing any of the actual in-game updates (like being able to buy "seven-star lucky coins", or whatever they were called, from a coin exchange in the nopon sage's area)...

using yuzu.

Appears that the files for the DLC4 were updated in 2.2.0 and require re-dumping from your switch, and then you would need to use those new dumps in conjunction with the new patch to run the game on 2.2.0 instead of 2.1.1.

Hey guys I was wondering if their is a 60fps mod similar to Xenoblade definitive edition that makes the text speech box cutscene 60fps

I know 60fps wont work with cinematic cutscene but I was wondering if it can work with text speech box cutscene and non voice scene

and for version 2.1.1 since thats what I'm using

Is the custom difficulty mod could be updated to 2.1.1? Sadly dont work, it's still in 2.1.0

According to the yuzu developers, the Pentelas "vertex explosions" bug can't be fixed by them, but requires a driver or even hardware fix by AMD. Using OpenGL instead of Vulkan fixes the issue without causing too many other issues. For some reason, the entire issue is noticeably less severe when using the Ryujinx emulator with Vulkan, but still more or less unplayable.

Can now verify that a new dump of DLC 4 is needed for the 2.2.0 update to properly work. Got the update working in Yuzu.
