cheats are no longer working for me. I have global on, and have had them working on 1.49. any know cause or fix for this.

also does the poket monsters black 2 white 2 fix change how the game reads the seasons? it should still be in fall (in-game), but when i boot up, it's spring.
and no, didn't use a cheat to mess with the season.
Ok, did some fiddling around, and found that by turning "global On" to "On" for in game cheats for the specific rom fixes the cheat's and enables them to work again. also works with in game reset on.

but still, does it mess with the seasons in black2/white2?

I just tried updating 3 original R4s from 1.49 to 1.50 over Wifi. I've been updating them this way ever since wifi update was possible. Afterwards to verify the update succeeded I would go to Start -> Help and always see the new version number. However today the version at wood akmenu remains 1.49 on all 3. So, did the update work or not? Is this a small bug?

I can confirm that the new Wood Firmware(1.56) does not work on the r4ids.cn for some reason.
Whenever i try to start a game or change the theme it freezes on Loading screen.
My card is Revision C.
It came with the DORASU Icon and right now it has the Metroid Prime Icon.
And here is the R4 Wood that i got from r4ids.cn

GamerzHell9137, I have done a test on wood r4 v1.56 for r4i gold(r4ids.cn).
I have tested it with the same card as you.
When changing the theme, it does freeze on loading.
But when lauching a game, it works well.
Please try formating your tf card first of all.
The little bug on changing the theme will be fixed on the next version.

i haven't update my sons cards (r4gold.cn non 3ds) since the summer, it was running wood 1.47 fine.... yesterday i download a couple of new games that wasn't supported by the old wood , so i patch the card with the latest patch just in case because i don't need it, and download the latest wood, everything went fine, i even patch the card with the new wood firmware 1.56... but when i try to load any game it got stuck on the loading screen... the firmware runs fine, i can change all the settings, the themes and options, it can even run the patch... it just wont play any ROM with wood 1.56, it just play Roms with wood 1.48 or below. i test it also on an unpatch r4gold.cn (non 3ds) and the same thing happens...
i have 4 r4gold and all behave the same... patched or unpatched...

PS yes, the TFs where formatted, the roms where clean roms and previously played, and the cards are 100% genuine...

v13j0,first of all, you should not patch your ds roms.
Please format your tf card with the sector size bigger than 8KB.
Just download wood r4 v1.56 and unzip it to the root directory of your tf card.
You can also disable RTS(Real-time save) function by changing the system settings.
RTS needs bigger sector size.

I updated via wifi, 1.56 version doesn't load my .nds games but homebrew worked.
I have reverted to 1.54 which works as before... Hope this is fixed.
My r4igold is version 5.

this is a problem that alot of people get
the issue is the files posted here are the update only
so must be pasted over a full install

Updating past 1.54 on my r4igold breaks game loading...

I don't know whether its because I use the older r4igold (<rev5) but I have tried to update both times 1.54 - 1.56/ 1.54 - 1.57 and once updated my .nds games stop loading, i just get stuck at the white loading screen now.

I'm not having any problems with msd etc just breaking after I try to update past 1.54.
I think the older cards are not compatible with newer wood versions I guess only newer revisions are tested now. Sucks for me, no dsi 1.45 update and no wood updates work now.

I just recieved my new R4 3DS gold (r4ids.cn) with an sandisk 4gb sdhc card (formatted in fat32, blocks larger than 8kb) i´m using WOOD R4 V1.58.

The SDHC card is new and only ~15% of the total space is used at the moment.

It doesn´t matter which game i try, the RTS function is not working correctly, after using the RTS, the game will freeze after a few seconds, if I restart the game and try to load the RTS savegame, the game loads, but will freeze after a few seconds too, only the sound of the game keeps playing. - I´m using a 3DS XL
