Gaming Woah, Possible Gen D-3 screwup

Just gonna say now, for people who are saying they have "5.50 GEN-D(FULL)" after updating, that's actually D3. If games or a game is failing to start, begin adjusting options. I turned off all of my Plugins and put the CPU speed to normal and it worked fine, I haven't attempted to turn them back on but I will later.

How do you know? I read a lot of people that succesfully upgraded to 5.50 GEN-D3 with it saying D3, not D(full).

i can confirm what crash is saying, i have GEN D(Full) playing the new naruto & gundam fine.

GEN D(FULL) is the final beta version while GEN D3 is the proper release.

Hmm I'm curious on something. To anyone thats getting GEN-D (FULL), What was the last firmware that you used before upgrading?

The reason I ask this is because, I have a weird suspicion that people that update from D2 to D3 don't get the GEN-D (Full) but get the GEN-D3 and those that upgraded from something other than GEN-D2 get the GEN-D (Full) on their PSP

I updated from 5.00 m33-6, and I'm almost positive it said Gen-D3. Can't check again, though, I ended up going back to M33 for Leda and IRshell.

I'm gonna stick with GEN-D2 for a while. I ran the GEN-D3 updater this morning only to completely break my PSP, no UMDs or eboots would run and it was showing GEN-D(full) so I could just update straight to D2 again to fix it but if someone can give me a goot link to the correct file I might try again.

He cock teased Gundam on November 30th, and they had around 15 days or longer to prepare for this and this is really what we get? Don't get me wrong. The FW is nice and all. But there's really no excuse in the end for any of this. I really don't see how you could screw up a Test Version with the prepared Final Release.

And I actually bought the Gundam as soon as this whole December 15th BS happened. I didn't really mind going back to OFW until this released, and didn't mind buying it since I hadn't bought a UMD since December 2005. Even going back to OFW was a big hassle on GEN FW.

I'm really hoping I don't have to erase my settings a Third Time. At least M33 would never put me in the position where I had to erase my settings, even for Updates for god's sake. -_-

Truthfully, i dont think ANYONE should update to the version that was posted last night, im hearing nothing but mixed and bad news about it. Though the one that came out yesterday afternoon is fine. Aside from lack of Demo support (Only Peace Walker and God Eater), it works perfectly fine. And i dont plan to update and risk bricking my PSP until a completely new FW comes.

Been playing it all morning, and havent had a single issue or freeze or anything.

Looks like D3 'Finale' is up for grabs now

/edit: I updated again and it now says 5.50 GEN-D3. Games show up, but I had to update my game_categories plugin for it caused the vsh to insta-crash.

All I have to say now is thanks for being a Jerk to all of you who dissed/said negative things about D3 and its release issues. You didnt make the CFW nor do I see any gratitude from some of you. Please, unless you work with Team GEN, keep the negative comments to your self.

I guess I'm included too, but all I meant to say was that the whole release thing was pretty dodgy (2 bad files). Other than that, I'm happy to run the latest CFW and am grateful to the people who still work on that

im a little lost i updated last night and it went to GEN-D(full)
so today i see there was a mess up so i updated again with the right one and im still on GEN-D (full)
did i do something wrong or did i get the bad file twice?????



ps my games all work but im still confused
