Actually, all things considered, they did pretty well for what they had.

Now don't get me wrong, the plot and costuming sucked ass and it was almost laughably terrible, but if you don't think about it as being tied to the actual Super Mario franchise it's actually a decent Sci-Fi movie

Meh, I hated Mario Warfare. It just had a really stale and filler-y plot (I'm looking at you Donkey Kong episode)
