Well ultimately it's your choice, I hope this won't die though as I'm really hoping to be able to play this game someday, preferably in its most complete form possible.

I've honestly been working on 3ds homebrew. Trying to see how this new game plays out...

In my honest opinion, I say just go on to the new game. With the main priority being on card and menu translations. Then just do the story mode if you have the time/desire. The cards are 100% the most important part for even playing the game. Story, while as cool as it would be, should be a second thought. (sorry if that offends anyone here, but the game is borderline unplayable without knowing what the cards do.) Since cards are carrying over I suppose you could start working on them now before the release. (which is scheduled to come out in April of this year)

How did you replace the text? I would like to help if it's easy since I found a guide translating all the cards abilities and stuff.

I'm eventually going to make a guide on translating this, it shouldn't take long. But to give you the gist of it most text are found in .Mes files that can be easily edited in any Text Editor. The problem is fullwidth and halfwidth, which makes translating complicated. The Cards/battle features are mostly inn .ctpk files (which are textures) and need to be edited in ctpktool.

How do we install this without the ntr version? Can you make it an ntr version?

Now I don't even know what to do anymore, should I translate this or that
if you do plan on translating it, maybe you should try to team up with others who translate games on here. maybe have one or two people do cards, and then one do menus and stuff like that

If you want to translate DBHUMX then I would continue working on this to give yourself a head start, it should have the same cards and story but with extra content and missions added. What I'm most interested in are the descriptions for attacks and badge and card abilities, without them you have no idea what your cards do making it impossible to build a strategic team.

So theres a rom of ultimate mission x on THAT site. I would still like for you to finish this patch or at least get a handle on how the files are decrypted using ultimate mission 2 as a learning experience

@SylverReZ, atleast wiimmfii went fine although people only use it for Mario kart Wii
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
At least if they ban you for cheating, get another Wii. They're cheap as chips.

Remember when RiiShop was a thing?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
    not really
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
It got shutdown because somebody "accidentally" leaked the database for the amount of people using the beta.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
RiiShop is the laziest way of downloading Wii games. Did somebody not think of this through?
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
although i ended up accidentally changing my nand with no way of going back bc i didn't know you needed a gamecube controller to restore it (i have a wii minus/1.1, which doesn't have gamecube controller support)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, I think you're talking about the recovery mode that the SaveMii used, and also was to restore softbricked systems.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
If your NAND was hardbricked, then just buy another Wii. Or go with the dirty NAND flasher method.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
and if i find the sd card i have my NAND backed up on, i can not only restore the NAND if i solder the right part in, but i can also put my NAND on dolphin, then i can play dolphin online, like PMEX Remix or MKWii Riibalanced
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    Brb
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@BakerMan, Oh yeah, that was a thing too. Dolphin does support Wiimmfi.
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
yeah you just need to put your NAND backup with wiimmfi on it
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
ngl i feel like if a bunch of my friends have wiis and know how to get wiimmfi and back up their NAND, then we could do a PMEX Remix tournament
  • BakerMan @ BakerMan:
maybe even add UMVC3/DBFZ and make it a biathlon/triathlon
