I'll probably buy it if the price drops. I'll buy the games to support the devs, and if the 3DS gets hacked, I'll prepare for some awesome homebrewness!

Steam may offer extras, and Nintendo "may" also at some point, but their focus right now involves their supposed tech to help reduce piracy on their new handheld. If they can keep the pirates at bay, then that'll help move resources from that department to another, like actual improvements and functionality in firmware updates.
