Hacking Will just buying an xkey for a 360 Slim work?

You'll have to extract the DVD keys first.
After that it's basically plug and play.

NTFS harddrives are supported.

JTAG/RGH allows for backupped/pirated XBLA/DLC playback as well as homebrew.
You'll lose XBL access unless you Dual NAND it or invest in stealth servers.

So can't you just play backed up/pirated games from the Xkey-HDD?
Why would you ever JTAG/RGH then?

Only disc backups, ISO files.
Any game that's available retail you could playback on an Xkey.

DLC/XBLA/XBLindie backups is only possible on hardware hacked consoles.

yeah, jtag/rgh consoles take advantage of an exploit of kernel 4xxx that allowed running unsigned code. it was an exploit of the hypervisor which has since been patched. ;)
