If the battery connectors dont aline due to using a dsi battery in a 3ds. means your shit outta luck with that option.

Nah I dont have the dsi battery right now but im just trying to see will it even work.Like I said when i plug the charger in nothing happens.No charging light nothing. I tried opening it but the screws are not even moving...My nintendo 3ds xl has been sitting for years now

Water damage is often a death sentence.

You might be looking at either replacing the motherboard or getting another 3DS system.

Is yours an o3DSXL or n3DSXL?

(o3DSXL) When i spilled water on the 3ds it still worked but that was a year ago and now i just found it laying around and thought to play on it plugged the charger in and nothing happend...

3DS systems won't turn on if the battery is missing or completely dead (can't be charged or hold a charge).

When you plug in the AC charger, does the o3DSXL momentarily lights up the orange charging LED indicator for like 5 seconds and then turns off the light? If it does that, that means the o3DSXL itself might not be dead.

Here are options in buying small screwdrivers. Because the back plate on the o3DSXL is particularly small, I recommend getting both 'PH00' and 'PH000' sizes.

Screws that are hard to remove could be held down in tension due to [ bulging / swollen / ballooned / puffed up / expanded / inflated ] battery pushing against the cover. If you find out the battery is like this condition, dispose of it immediately.

If you don't wish to repair the o3DSXL, sell it for spare parts and use that money to get another (2/3)DS.

Find someone who has a working o3DSXL, n3DSXL, o2DS, or o3DS and borrow their battery to test on your o3DSXL.
