I have a CIA copy of Dragon Quest VIII that is uncensored, undubbed, and original music is restored. Will a cheat engine work on it?

There is supposed to be a cheat engine program for 3DS games, from what I've read. I want to know if it works on games that have been "touched up" including the 3ED version of Dragon Quest VIII.

you'll need Luma before even thinking about cheating to be honest, I assumed you had Luma when you said you had the CIA version of your game

I'm pretty sure they are separate CFWs, although don't quote me on that. Get A9LH First (if you already haven't, or have another way of running CFW.)

Already have A9LH. Can't I just use Luma?

NTR is not CFW, it runs ontop of your actual CFW, simply get the plugin for the game. Boot up Luma, then boot up NTR and then follow the plugins instructions.
