3DS games will likely be able to link to DS games (Pokémon 6th generation would suck otherwise, though the GBA break sets kind of a precedent), so they should be able to access the same local wireless connectivity as DS games, which would not rule out Wii link. Ultimately however, it depends on whether the developers of 3DS/Wii software decide to implement it, and if they do so before a successor to Wii has been released.

Yes some games will via wifi but we will have to wait and see which games will have this option.

"Gamers will be able to pause movies on 3DS and finish viewing them on Wii"

Nintendo has announced that the 3DS’ digital Netflix service will integrate with the Wii in the US.

Users will be able to view movies, trailers and programmes on their handheld console, pause them, then finish watching them on TV later using their Wii.

The platform holder made the announcement at a keynote at the 2011 Games Developers Conference in San Francisco.

3DS will receive Netflix functionality this summer. Netflix members who have an unlimited plan – which starts at $7.99 per month – will be able to access a wireless internet connection and stream videos on their 3DS. Because the Wii also uses Netflix, the two Nintendo consoles can link the service to each other.

Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime also hinted at GDC that users will be able to record footage on the 3DS and play it back in 3D.
