Hacking Wiiware titles on vWii to booting to black screen

Dear Gbatempers,

I have a Wii U and I am trying to launch WiiWare titles from the vWii on USB loader GX (a homebrew, not a forwarder/channel).

This is my setup:

USB loader GX rev 1262, IOS 249 (rev 21010) + AHB (d2x v10beta53-alt-vWii base56). - Taken from the USB loader GX credits menu.
I believe these are my cioses, installed from d2x cios installer mod 2.2:
cIOS v10 beta53 alt vWii, cIos base 56, cIos slot 249.
cIOS v10 beta53 alt vWii, cIos base 57, cIos slot 250.
cIOS v10 beta53 alt vWii, cIos base 58, cIos slot 251.

The mii maker channel boots fine when I selected it from the USB loader GX and have only the "EmuNand channels" option selected.

I have dumped my nand to Emunand on my SD card. The path is sd:/nand/.
The wiiware games pop up under "EmuNand Channels" (installed from USB Loader GX), yet when I launch them they boot to a black screen (no health and safety warning or anything like that). I am certain the Wiiware games are correct for my region.

    Eventhough the New 3DS XL is more powerful, I still feel like the DS Lite was a more polished system. It's a real shame that it never got an XL variant keeping the GBA slot. You'd have to go on AliExpress and buy an ML shell to give a DS phat the unofficial "DS Lite" treatment, and that's the best we'll ever get I'm afraid.

    @Jayro, I don't see whats so special about the DS ML, its just a DS lite in a phat shell. At least the phat model had louder speakers, whereas the lite has a much better screen.
