Emulation WiiU Retroarch 1.4.0 feedback?

Anyone getting much luck with this stable for WiiU?
I'm getting a lot of crashes just opening files on WiiU and 3DS.
Not sure if it's issue my end or not as I assume things should be pretty good for the basics now.

Thanks. I did do a fresh install for both platforms ensuring to remove everything not just config files etc but still not much luck.
