Hardware Wii remotes won't sync

I changed the batteries in both wiimotes recently and ever since then both will not stay synched. I've been using the following method to get one to snyc for a brief period.

-take patteries out of all wiimotes
-turn wii off and unplug it for 30 seconds
-plug it back in and turn on
-at health and safety screen put batteries back in wiimotes
-press the snyc button on the consloe
-press sync button on one wiimote


I haven't been able to get this to work for both wiimotes, but it works on one usually. If I change games, the wiimote usually gets out of sync again.

Not sure if is the batteries, but I'm using Rayovac 1.5V AA in both wiimotes.

Any suggestions?

I dont think its those batteries but you can always try with other ones.. And if someone of your friends got wii try your wiimotes on hes wii. Sry to post these useless tips :s
