Hacking Wii 4.0 CIOSCORP question

I know that you guys are probably tired of all these 4.0 questions but plz bear with me lol, i have a question is there an alternative to CIOSCORP for 4.0 that blocks updates as it can already read "backups" lol cuz it asks for an update so that means it can read backups but according to this site there's a app called StarPatch with is a Starfall only for 4.0 but i find it... So in conclusion is there a way to block updates from the disk channel?
