Which version of iOS 16 resolved the aggressive memory management (prematurely closing apps)?

With the initial version of iOS 16, and for several subsequent versions, the OS would needlessly close apps that had been put into the background. iOS is supposed to close background apps when it needs the memory, but iOS 16 did it all the time, even closing small apps that had been in the background for just a few minutes.

Does anyone know the version of iOS 16 that resolved this, and can you please include a source if you have one?
