Homebrew Which 3DS should I buy for homebrew in September 2017?

I am looking to buy a 3DS for homebrew but I'm confused on which one to buy. I want firmware 11.3 or lower, out of the box. I want to get a new 3ds xl but I don't know what firmware it comes with in September. Can anyone help me out? Thanks!

Any of them, it doesn't matter anymore. Just buy a 3DS, buy an R4i Gold, and maybe a magnet. Literally with that cart, you can flash NTRBoot onto the cart, then use that (along side a magnet) to install B9S. All of this can be accomplished on stock OFW without the need for a kernel exploit. This method can also not be blocked by Nintendo as it's a bootrom exploit. So Nintendo literally needs to create new hardware in order to block this.
Plus when you are done, you get a cart to play DS games on.

All the 3DS with every firmware could get mod with ntrboothax (with a supported flashcard, as mentioned above my post).

I am everywhere
The one in my original post will work on the latest stock OFW. The other ones that are NTR compatible do (besides the infinity 3 R4i) do require specific OFW versions to work on stock and those are listed in the Guide as well.)

If you mean this one, it doesn't appear to be a compatible flashcard according to the guide.

i just realized that my flashcart is not compatible and the flashcarts are not available in my country
then i will have to get a 3ds with stock FW 11.3 or lower

Possibly the Galaxy 3DS XL? I'm really not to sure though. But NTRBootHax is very easy as well, you just need a compatible flashcard, preferably the one you were linked to because it covers all firmwares.

Newer produced 3ds all have >=11.4. You should get a r4i 3ds gold.

I personally recommend the DSTT as it is cheap and works great with YSmenu and Moonshell for playing music and DS games. Oh, and try to get a New 3DS of course. New 3DS XL if you want more battery life.

Can they flash a DSTT with OFW though? There isn't much info in the guide in regards to that flashcard.
