Hardware What's Your Opinion on the 3DS Design?

I hate having not equal screens

the only thing I don't like is that there is only one analog stick. because of this I still need to us b,a,x,y for movement in shooters which is a shame.
the best thing they could do for me is make a left handed version with the controls swamped d-pad and analog on the right, buttons on the left.

Theres still the touchscreen which can be used as a second analog, and for other games theres gyro and motion sensors. Also about the two screens not matching, its not that big of a deal it doesnt look weird at all infact i kind of like this design looks nice and user friendly.

It's fugly. The black top half looks stupid if you have any colour but black, the unequal screens I think also look crap, the placement of the d-pad is poor, the slidepad thing looks like a red blood cell, the placement of the headphone port looks like the 3DS has an anus, the start and select buttons are awkwardly placed, the power button is where the start/select buttons were on the DSL/DSi causing accidental power-offs, and when closed the top half seems to flow over the bottom half, the cameras are too close to the edge, and finally all the indicator lights are in different positions.

if it would be XL it would suck~ normal people want their gaming handheld to fit in their pockets with other things if you want a big clumpy thing go buy an iPad, im totally fine if they do release a XL version its not even unlikely but XL is just optional and thats the right thing

equal screens would be nice too, they used to say the screens will be able to function as one either it was just eh rumour or they dropped that...

It doesn't look too bad, but I do think the headphone slot should be moved to the side.. I personally think the start/select buttons look fine, and if the power button is a stable as it was on the DSi (for not randomly turning off), then I'll be fine with it.

Well personally I wouldn't want the cameras in the middle of the console 'cause that is retarded. I like the camera positions, I like the colour schemes, I like where they put the buttons and I like the screen sizes. I just love the whole thing!

Nah, lol. I just don't like where they put it, no big deal. Just if I had made it I would have put the power button in the same place it was on the DSPhat.
But on another hand...some people are crafty like that

Aaahh they use that weird 3D where it looks like you're looking through a window but some objects pop out, you can sort of see the 3D in the video posted earlier.
