Hacking What would be the best way for me to play gba games?

Hi here is what I have:

• Old 3ds Xl with 8.X sysnand firmware
• Gateway 9.9 emunand (unlinked)

So here are my questions:

• What is the best way for me to play GBA VC Titles?
• Can I install RXTools and run it alongside my original emunand?
• Should I downgrade my sysnad Firmware?

Your best bet would be to patch AGB_Firm (no permeant damage unless you're an ambassador.) in sysnand, tutorial is here.

you can use rxtools alongside gateway, i wouldnt downgrade
agb_firm is pretty much the only nice solution, since citragb stutters without dynarec

So I can follow these intructions and my 3ds will be able to run VC GBA titles? The GBA titles would have to run on sysnand right?

There's no need to patch agb_firm if you are using rxTools.

Just use Gateway (e.g. BBM) to install GBA games to SysNAND or SysNAND+EmuNAND (if you want to play them on EmuNAND), set up rxTools and play them in rxMode.

rxTools and Gateway use the same EmuNAND, so you won't have any trouble. Just use the rxTools exploit to boot rxMode and the GW exploit to boot GW mode.
