I tried all kinds of things and through trial and error and I found that wiiflow, at least the one I use seems to only lag when the sd card is locked.it loads up fine when the card is unlockedim using a seagate 2tb external hdd with its own power suppy. to load wii games from the hdd I cant get it to load gamecube games from the hdd so wii games work off hdd and gamecube games only work off sd card. I have 19 gamecube games on the sd card and about 60 on the hdd and I have over 250 wii games on the hdd. the lock switch broke off my sd card so it took me a while to discover this but when I wrapped the sd card with scotch tape. the problem of box covers not loading and it responding very slowly to button inputs went away and now it works great. im glad I found this out before I screwed up my files its been so long since I set up my wii and I would of had to relearn everything involved in installing software on it because I forgot what to do
