I want to give the 360 controller a shot on my PC for some games but I'm wondering what's the best option. Buying a cheap wireless receiver for my existing wireless 360 controller or buying a wired version. Or is there a way to connect my wireless one to my PC via usb? I thought the play and charge kit did that but I was mistaken as it only charges and doesn't actually control games at all.

Yes, the Microsoft USB wireless receiver is the best option. I have a spare lying around somewhere (I'm not a PC gamer, but I have one) that I don't use...
