Should affect Masuda Method, but doesn't touch Wormhole shinies since those are calculated differently. Use this little guide OP made to maximize the wormhole rarity yourself in godmode9, drastically increasing your chances of non-legendary shinies to where they're probably less rare than their normal variations.
I'm getting crashes when I try to inject with UltraSun and the no outlines + QR patches.
I'm using 20171117 PKHeX, and have a normal Sun save loaded. I've been trying to load into Box 3, Slot 1, but when the QR coe is read, it dies immediately.

I would try using an Ultra Sun save first. If you're still getting crashes with the the US save, then the issue lies in the cheat. Also try updating your Pkhex version as a new version was released.
I did try migrating the 'mon to an Ultra Sun save, but it still crashes when trying to scan a QR code. What's weird is I didn't have this problem earlier when I scanned in some shiny Ultra Beasts, though I'm not sure if I was in Ultra Moon when I did that or not (before migrating the save over to Ultra Sun). Maybe the Ultra Sun QR patch is broken somehow?
I still cant figure it out guess i will wait till someone makes the ips patch for the worm hole
are you using the sun version qr patch from this thread? sciresM github doesn't provide a sun version.(unlike SM, two version they don't share the same patch this time)
I'm trying to use the Ultra Sun patches from the archive in the OP. Specifically, I'm running no-outlines and the QR injection pactches combined.

i didn't receive any reports about US qr patch from others. problem should be on your end.
you mentioned "immigrated" your UM save to US. probably your save doesn't have enough tweak for a full immigration.

Hmm. I never had this issue with Sun/Moon, and I'm pretty sure I got it to work with Ultra Moon too.i didn't receive any reports about US qr patch from others. problem should be on your end.
I'll try the US QR injection patch by itself and see what happens. If it crashes by itself, then I think it's that part that's the problem. After all, the no outlines part does work. It's only when I try to scan a PKHeX QR code that it dies on me.

the patch is definitely in a working state. cuz I tested the US version port before I upload...
Hmm.... that's a possibility too. But, aside from changing the game it's in, and the time offset, what else needs to be done to actually migrate a save from UM to US?
Edit: I also re-downloaded the archive, and tried with the same QR code. It still crashed the game. I need to figure out what's wrong with this, 'cause I -really- don't want to have to play through the game again to get where I'm at, and a tedious copy-paste of the data isn't something I'd want to do either.

then get another save copy of Ultra Sun from someone else, you can request for it in save request thread and edit entirely of its content using PkHex if you want it to be like yours originally instead of injecting a wrong version save.

Is there an automated way to insert the same flags and so on? I'd like for that to be a solution rather than request it from someone else. I mean, I could start a new save, as mine's already backed up. I'd just want to fix the relevant data to be as it was.
I pretended to think two version saves are largely different due to the way these both were coded, like flags and more, you need a save file of US and edit its flags to be exactly like your modified injected ''US'' UM save, so it should work
I believe injecting save from a different version causes issues with a certain IPS code patch like you described your issue.

Alright... I went in and cleared the save data I had for Ultra Sun, plowed through until I had the QR scanner option, and it still crashes the same way. At this point, I can be certain that the patch is to blame.

I know that. I've used the Sun-specific patches, and put the combined patch in sd:\luma\titles\00040000001B5000\
I even did a file comparison on the US/UM patches, so I can clearly see they're different. We thought that maybe the save data, having originally been from UM, was to blame, but I've just eliminated that possibility.
At this point, I don't know what else could be the problem.
