It's not the loader or there would be plenty of reports about it. If you're using a flash drive then don't. They absolutely suck for storage on the Wii. Go buy an inexpensive no-frills USB 2.0 or 3.0 drive enclosure and put a SATA drive in it.

Considering I just bought another flash drive for $20, I'd like to make it work if at all possible.

Whelp where theres a will, theres a way. Thats what got us the homebrew in the first place right ;)
Try GreyWolf's fork of USB Loader GX, you're probably crashing because like GreyWolf himself said, the newest Nintendont with the latest official release of ULGX leads to a black screen because of changes to how Nintendont accepts setting arguments.

(or something like that)

And if that's the case, it's fine. I can at least run the gc games on nintendont. Now why cant usbloadergx detect my wii games lol

The "fast" branch will have the option to write a debug log without compiling a special version but I won't be able to commit it until this weekend.

master = stable
preview = release candidate
working = working branch (you don't want this one)

Currently all three are the same, though.

Back in 2013 I brought up an issue with EmuNAND support in GX where it simply won't cache the banners properly from EmuNANDs.

Today, I made a fresh EmuNAND and put it on my hard drive and installed a game wad, and even with the fresh setup, it doesn't cache banners. I even set a new cache location to a new empty folder on my SD card and still no luck. Anyone else experience this issue? I hate having to manually extract my Wads and cache the banner manually.

So would this one actually log stuff? I don't seem to see any logs for usbloadergx anywhere. Is there some specific location? What's the name of the log supposed to be?

I haven't added it yet. I have a few other things to finish before I commit it.

Is Grey Wolf going to be taking over development for the moment? Why not make this the official branch?
The fork in my repository isn't intended to be official in any way. (Well, it's the official Streamline branch, I suppose. :))

No. The Wii SDK's libraries didn't have WUPC support. It's Bluetooth, GC controllers are serial.

Hey @GreyWolf if you get around to messing with any of the theme stuff, I found a text in the loader that isn't themed for some reason.

If you go to a game that has an ocarina txtcode, the title above the code list doesn't have any handle for being themed as far as I know.
It'd be nice if that could be added. :P

I've never messed with that but it might be getting the title in the code file. Or do you mean it doesn't change appearance with a theme change?

If you're talking about streamline the theming will be changed with the new UI anyway. :) I'd really rather keep issues with it on Github rather than clogging up this thread with it. I'll probably make a new thread once I get finished with a few things I'm working on like SSL so it can be updated automatically.

Checked the forum a bit and didn't find a answer, so i'm just gonna ask here :x

Is there a way to hide/remove the white/gray background when using the channel grid option?

Made a theme and it really don't fit, and i really don't like the other options.

I think it's one of the "TEV" options. You should be able to set it to "r=0 g=0 b=0 a=0" to make it transparent.

Preview branch has the option to enable debug logging. Instructions on how to enable it are in the commit notes.
