Next up to join the video game to live action movie adaptation hype train is Uncharted! In talks since 2009, the adaptation has picked up steam in the last few years and today we even have a release date! As reported earlier, Spider Man's Tom Holland will indeed star as a young Nathan Drake and the movie will release on December 20, 2020. The news come from a tweet by Geoff Keighley:

The movie has already flopped before productions began if all the focus is on a younger Nathan Drake. It obvious now they won't use any story elements from the main games but instead create a new boring story instead. I wanted to see a movie adaption of the Drakes Fortune with Gerard Butler as Nathan Drake. This project has Assassin's Creed movie written all over it.
