its been broken for the longest but i never really cared, but now i do lol.
whenever i try to load any of my DS carts it boots to a black screen and stays there until i force it off.

i have tried this guide here https://3ds.guide/troubleshooting and tried to restore clean twl titles for my n3ds but it did absolutely nothing. as for prerequisites i do have a old backup of my stock 9.0.0-20 systemnand if that can help at all as i am on the latest fw a9lh now.any ideas?

Make a NAND backup and SD card backup as things are now, and restore the pre-a9lh backup with Decrypt9 with the "keep a9lh" option. I remember reading in the guide that if you do something in particular, it breaks TWL forever (maybe updating from 2.1 or something). If it doesn't help you can always restore the backup you made before restoring the other one.

Oh ok, in that case I don't know. If restoring the pre-a9lh NAND backup works, you could create an emuNAND and just restore it to there, so you have a working TWL in emuNAND but you still have all your current data in sysNAND?

i had remember reading something a long time ago that i have to delete the TWL (or was it agb)system titles before you try to install fresh ones but i cant find that thread anymore

Also on a unrelated note i see a9lh seems to be old news, Boot9strap is in and ill get studying on that

EDIT: after updating to Boot9strap the issue fixed itself XD (also please add me to that list if you will)
