Thank kind of sucks. I wonder why they didn't give extra ones for the Famicon? Oh well, I'll just order some from the Nintendo store. They're cheap. And I could have sworn I've seem some at the game stores around here.

EDIT: And thanks mthrnite for bring up Rhythm Tengoku. I'm hooked on that game now.

Ah...I didn't know about that thread. Thank you. And actually, I was already looking at fan translation here at Cracked Rabbit. Is this the same one you're talking about?

And if you know of any other quirky Japan rhythm type games, I would love to know about them.

Thanks.

EDIT: Oh wait...is there an actual translation patch for this game?

Yeah its awesome, the only thing I don't like about is, despite having the hardware in it to play GBC games, the circuitry to connect it all isn't there... so you can't use GBC mode

Oh well. Goomba FTW!

Where did you read that?

Notice how the processor says AGB and not OXY. Its the same one as in the GBA/SP.

Speculation:
Nintendo didn't bother changing the GBA chips at all, and left everything alone. It would probably cost more to change stuff than to make special reduced-functionality versions.
I haven't looked at a GB Micro circuit board but I suspect that Nintendo just removed all the GBC traces on the PCB, and related components, leaving the GBC mode still intact in the main GBA processor.

Maybe I'm wrong but I thought GBC support was provided by a separate processor? Without that it just won't fly batman.

Has nothing to do with a seperate processor, GB & GBC roms run fine on the m3 lite.

The Cart slot isnt compatable with GB or GBC carts

uhhhhhhhhhhhh ya it does

Your m3 lite isn't running them, its emulating them in Goomba color.

The GBC games are run on a z80 processor, which is located with the AGB chip.

Ok, I got my Micro today. And all you guys were right, I do love it.

But man...this thing is freakin' tiny as hell. Any of you say that to yourself when you first pulled it out of the package? The width of my palm is a little longer than the width of the Micro. And the screen is way tiny too(used to playing on the sp). But the clarity makes up for it.

All in all, I'm loving it. And the G6 Lite does sit perfectly flush in it(thanks again to mthrnite for the pics). So that means the M3 Lite will sit flush also, so I'm going to order me one in a day or two.

Anyways, thanks for all the info guys.

Thanks JPH.

Hey, I got a question about changing flaceplates. I noticed on my micro, that there's a tiny piece of lint underneath the faceplate. I got this on my psp too.

Now, it's really not noticeable at all. I totally forget about it when I'm playing. But...eventually I'm going to get new faceplates, and change them.

So how easy is to get a new faceplate on, without getting any lint underneath that new faceplate? You guys have any suggestions on how to get the faceplate on without getting any dirt or lint under it?

Thanks.

I'm still looking for a cable to connect my micro to the gamecube, in order to play final fantasy.

nintendo never made a cable for the micro, but i've heard that it's possible to make one yourself.

Well, from what I've heard from my parents, he had a seizure last night, perhaps an epileptic episode, fucking died, had a near death experience, my dad called the paramedics, they showed up, took him to the hospital, and he woke up covered in tubes, and started complaining.
