I figured I may as well throw in my 2 cents here, this mod is very well done. I was able to complete the game with tons of various extras that I cared about. That being said I have spotted some areas that appear to be unpatched. Thanks so much for giving me the option of playing CS1 on Switch.

Thanks for the fixe and also for including the update.zip file so we don't have to re-download the whole thing. I wish that was more common whenever it's possible to do so.

I noticed that changing the resolution using R button on the title screen forces the same resolution in both handheld and docked mode. Is this how the game originally runs?

Yes, game is 720p in both handheld and docked. There is no separation for both modes in terms of resolution. This is true for CS1, CS2 and CS3. Didn't check CS4 yet.
Engine is not suited to change resolution while game is running. For PC it's also not possible to change resolution mid-game.

If you are using cheats, disable them and try again.
And we're talking about Switch, not emulator? To be sure
And it's showing anything before crashing?

nvm i somehow fixed it. i Fixed Arcive Bit in Hekate, now it works:

I just want to thank you a lot for this! I lost hope for this port localization long ago, but thanks to you now we almost have all the CS games on Switch. I can't wait for CS2, but take your time and thanks again!

Hey, so i downloaded the english patch and just dragged it onto my atmosphere folder. Went to open it up & it's still in Japanese.
What am I missing? when I try to run the game it isn't being translated.

& thank you so much for this patch. I would love to replay it and this series is amazing. lol

In next 2 weeks I guess I will upload translation mod. I need to make few more textures plus reencode videos.

CS2 had far more text rendering issues that I needed to tweak in comparison to CS1, so it took more time to finish.
Plus making separate disassembling script for just one file related to one cutscene. :v

I am in truly in awe of the work you have done till now, switch scene would have been a lot worse without you.
