Hey! Sorry for being newbie, but I'm like hours searching for a fix to my problem and didn't found it.

I started to hack my vWii today. I installed the Homebrew Channel, then the cIOS and the IOS 236, then the USb Loader GX. Well, I downloaded a game to test and put in the Usb hard disk. When I start the loader, it says that the HDD was not detected. Well, I changed the Loader IOS to 58 and the USb was recognized, but when I start the game, it goes to a black screen then shows the vWii Menu again. What can I do?
did you solve this?
got the same issue, games installed to sd card so only tried cfg usb loader and wiiflow but both throws me back to vwii system menu
do i need to choose specific ios?
i was using this tutorial https://github.com/FlimFlam69/WiiUTutorial/wiki/7:-vWii-Modding, so maybe i need to choose either ios 56,57,58,80?

Cracking guide mate really good work. I'm just wondering if i have a drive full of Cube and Wii stuff already. Fat32 formatted already... Do i need to format it again? Or can i skip formatting it and still use it on vWii?

Not sure this is the right place but you mention USB Loader GX a lot so figured i might get an answer here. My drive works on my original Wii setup and Wii and cube stuff displays full screen.

On the vWii... It's all full screen until i launch a game either Wii or cube and suddenly it's all got black bars around it top bottom and sides??

Any experience with this? WiiU wide-screen is enabled in Nintendont part of GX.

the black bars are also present on official wii games when played on vWii.
That's because the WiiU has a better (proper?) aspect ratio and height/width pixel size on screen, and compensate the Wii weird aspect ratio with black bars around it.
or just has a weird overscan value?

to edit these black bar, check the video width and position in nintendont's settings.
There's no option for wii games.

Ah that makes sense i suppose. Can always just hook it up to my Wii again anyway but it would be nice to have a single solution for it.

Hey, I'm having an issue.
I can't get the apps on my usb to show up in the vwii homebrew channel.
I'm using a y-cable, correctly plugged in, with the main one in the top slot and the remainder in the bottom slot, The hdd is the same one from my actual wii.
Thanks in advance!

HBC reads apps from FAT32 USB too, press 1 or 2 on the wiimote to open the HBC setting menu, select the source and display option.
If you don't have any SD inserted, I think it auto-switch to USB reading.

You can't list both sources at the same time.

When I open the setting menu, it already has USB bolded, if I click on it again, I get an error of 'Exception (DSI) occured!'
The sd option is not bolded.
