well, I know berseria is the prequel to zesteria, but I've never played xillia, so I don't know if that's the first game in the series. all three were originally released on the ps3, I believe.

xillia is a very good game and revolves around the draining of magic power from spirits creatures. You even can play as the lord of them Maxwell. If you played Symphonia you would know him (Her in this). Most tales games do not take place on same planet and usually just crossover of like above.

I finished 1 but never played 2 I have all the US release on disc for tales games but never played 2 yet. To many games not enough time.

the thing that sucks about xillia 1 and 2 is that they're on the ps3, where you can't use some sort of rest mode. you'll have to commit yourself to that play time.

Tales of Symphonia, Tales Of Symphonia - Dawn of the New World, Tales of Phantasia.
Tales of Destiny, Tales of Destiny 2.
Tales of Xillia, Tales of Xillia 2.
Tales of Berseria, Tales of Zestiria.

Tales of Phantasia is one of the first really it was a super Famicom game didn't come to us until later.
Also tales of destiny 1 was first us tales.
